Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It's about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind, and body. The Y is a place where you can work towards that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities. At the Y, it's not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier on the inside as well as the outside.

If you're looking to get in shape, our Wellness Center is the perfect place for you to start. We have a full line-up of selectorized circuit equipment to give you a proper full body workout, at the ease of a pin-loaded weight selection. We offer a complete selection of dumbbells ranging from 1 lb. to 140 lbs. If powerlifting and cross-training is your style, we have a corner picked out just for that. It is comprised of racks with bumper plates, bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, and much more. We also offer multiple pieces of your favorite cardio equipment such as: treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, steppers, and a rower.

SILVER SNEAKERS CLASSIC

Silver Sneakers is a FREE low-intensity, low-impact class that focuses its attention on active older adults. It is designed to be both a physical and social workout. It is a great opportunity to get members through the doors and interact with people they may not normally see. The class helps improve balance, core strength, flexibility, coordination, muscular endurance, and overall strength. All exercises are modifiable and any level of exercise experience is welcome. A chair can be used for seated or standing support. It is a great way to be socially active while working out.  

STRENGTH TRAINING

This is a small group personal training session.  Classes may be purchased through NASM Certified Personal Trainer Caitlin Conlon-Beckner.  Boost energy levels and improve your mood for the day with strength training! Regular strength or resistance training helps prevent loss of lean muscle mass that comes with aging. It protects bone health, muscle mass and helps in weight management. Strength training helps boost your metabolism and helps boost your calorie burn during and after your workout.

INTRO TO FITNESS

If you are new to the gym, or just looking for some guidance on how to get started working out, this FREE class is for you!  A combination of strength and cardio, this 30 minute class will help you get comfortable in the gym!
