5-4-3-2-1 GO!

The 5-4-3-2-1 GO! program is a collaboration between the Y, Fayette County Emergency Management Agency, Mid State Special Education, U of I Extension 4H and the Vandalia’s Little Community Garden.

The program consist of : 5 or more fruits and vegetables, 4 or more servings of wate, 3 servings of low fat dairy, 2 hours or less of screen time, 1 or more hours of physical activity and a Wrap Up. The goal of the program is to teach the students healthy eating and exercise habits that will reduce childhood obesity and reduce the risk of diabetes and other diseases.

This program is funded through grants and personal donations. If you have a passion for the health of our students you may made a donation to the 5-4-3-2-1 GO! Fund. For more information call us at 618-283-1258.
